Do this now
- 1
End the session at the kiosk
Press Stop on the charger screen or in the network app, then wait 10 seconds for the latch solenoid to release.
- 2
Unlock the vehicle, doors open
Most vehicles keep the port latched while locked. Unlock with the key fob (not the app) and open a door so the car stays awake.
- 3
Press the release on the connector handle
Push the button on top of the handle fully in, hold it, and pull straight out — no twisting or side-to-side rocking.
- 4
Use the manual pull-cord
If the latch is still engaged, open the rear hatch/trunk trim panel near the port and pull the emergency release cord (usually yellow or orange) while a second person eases the handle out.
Pull once, firmly. Repeated yanking can snap the cable.
- 5
Call for a network unlock ping
Tap SOS → Charge port jam. We send a remote stop + unlock command to the charging network operator directly.
Still stuck: Latch still stuck after the pull-cord? We flag the stall to the operator and dispatch on-site help.
